We are sharing the following update from Atlanta Gas Light on a utility project affecting Buford Highway.
Atlanta Gas Light Buford Highway Replacement Project Update – Restoration Activities in Doraville Expected to Start Late April/Early May
Final restoration of the Buford Highway Replacement Project in Doraville is expected to begin by late April/early May. Contractors will set up rolling road closures for the northbound lanes of Buford Highway to complete the retirement process for the old pipeline. Repaving of the area affected by construction between Central Avenue and Lake Drive (Gwinnett County) will begin once the retirement of the old line is complete. All restoration activities are expected to be finished by the end of May.
All final activities are planned to occur during overnight project hours, and traffic control will be in place for the safety of workers and the community.

We are sharing the following update from Atlanta Gas Light on a utility project affecting Buford Highway.
Atlanta Gas Light Buford Highway Replacement Project Update – Restoration in Doraville Gets Underway in April
Final restoration from last year’s pipeline installation beneath Buford Highway in Doraville is expected to begin by early-mid April. Contractors will set up rolling road closures for the northbound lanes of Buford Highway to complete the retirement process for the old pipeline. This activity may last up to a week.
Repaving the area of the Buford Highway Replacement Project affected by construction between Central Avenue and Lake Drive (Gwinnett County) will begin once retirement of the old line is complete. Repaving is expected to take an additional two to three weeks.
All final activities are planned to occur during overnight project hours, and traffic control will be in place for the safety of workers and the community.
