Grant Opportunities

The City of Doraville is offering a Reimbursement Matching Grant to assist property owners and tenants with business in eligible locations in the city with improving the aesthetics of their business establishment to help revitalize the city and strengthen our local businesses. The Grant is funded through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

The focus will be on ensuring quality materials are utilized and that projects enhance the property's visual appearance facing the street. This program is meant to improve business retention by providing existing local, small business owners the opportunity to improve their establishments. The National Trust for Historic Preservation has noted that commercial building improvements have resulted in the following:

• An increase in sales in the year the improvements were made, as well as sustained increased sales for several years to follow,
• An increase in new businesses and shoppers in the area,
• Increased likelihood that program participants will make additional improvements and that neighboring properties and business owners will also make improvements.
