Update on the Atlanta Gas Light Buford Highway Project
The pipeline installation is nearly complete within the City of Doraville and needs to be connected to the existing system at our regulator station off McElroy Road.
To connect the new pipe, a small section of the roadway from Buford Highway to approximately 3925 McElroy Road will need to be closed during working hours. Please note this will be performed overnight Saturday through Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The area will be open to traffic during the day between 5:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Friday nights when crews are not working. The road closure is expected to last from January 13 – January 27.
Signage will be in place to guide drivers around the closure during nighttime working hours, and there are a few detour options to get to the area immediately adjacent to the closure.

• Oakcliff Road to Pin Oak Circle to Carole Drive to Jett Drive to McElroy Road
During this time people can use the entrances off of Buford Highway to access adjacent shopping plazas – Power Plaza (5781 Buford Highway) and Treasure Village (5805 Buford Highway) – and their businesses.
We are coordinating with DeKalb County and also notifying local public safety of our road closure. As with all of our construction projects, safety is our top priority. We will make every effort to minimize inconveniences to property owners along the route.
