Día Del Niño With The Doraville Library

Partnering with the YMCA's Early Learning Readiness Program the City of Doraville hosted a bilingual story time at the Doraville Library on April 25th to celebrate the Day of the Child.

Celebrated on April 30th the Day of the Child is a day to honor and promote the value and benefits of reading among children. Across socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, reading has enormous benefits for children of all ages. It serves as a connection between kids and their families, improves language skills, and introduces children to new cultures and worlds.

For Doraville's celebration, more than seventy children and caregivers gathered outside Doraville's Library to participate. In addition to the bilingual story time there were craft activities and outdoor games like hopscotch.
