We are now accepting applications for a vacant seat on the Downtown Development Authority (“Doraville Development Authority”) board of directors.
The DDA is an independent body which promotes economic development within the downtown area. Appointed by the Mayor and City Council, DDA directors serve four-year terms.
Applicants must be:
-- Residents of DeKalb County
-- Owners or operators of businesses located within the downtown development area (pictured below)
An appointed member must receive at least eight hours of development authority training within a year of appointment. The position is an unpaid, voluntary role. However, any expenses incurred for training or DDA business are reimbursable.
The DDA meets at City Hall, normally on a monthly basis.
