Mayor Declares State of Emergency

Based on fast-moving developments pertaining to the coronavirus pandemic, Doraville Mayor Joseph Geierman has declared a state of emergency in the City.

The city council met Wednesday night and will meet again at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, via teleconference for a second read and decision on restrictions that could go into effect after 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 20, and remain in place until the end of the month. The restrictions would include closing restaurants and bars to in-person customers; closing gyms, sports clubs and personal grooming establishments; and prohibiting gatherings of more than 10 people.
