Library's Annual Book Sale on Saturday

booksA wide range of books, CDs and DVDs for children and adults will be available at the annual Friends of the Doraville Library Book Sale, to be held from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the library, 3748 Central Avenue. The Friends of the Library group was honored at Monday night's City Council meeting with a proclamation by Mayor Donna Pittman and the council.

This year’s sale will include a large number of cookbooks, including a Weight Watchers series, and a group of books for teddy bear collectors. Fiction and nonfiction books will be available in a number of languages, with many selections priced between 25 cents and $1. The sale also presents an opportunity to join Friends of the Doraville Library or renew a membership. Membership is $5 for individuals, $10 for families and $50-$100 for businesses.

Donations of items for the sale are welcome to be made at the library, which is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The library is closed on Friday and Sunday.
