New Peachtree Road LCI Project

Sealed Bids for the construction of the New Peachtree Road LCI Project will be received by the City of Doraville, at Doraville City Hall, until 2:00 PM local time on Friday, February 5, 2021,  at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of the construction of new pedestrian facilities by implementing a road diet along New Peachtree Road. This approximately 0.5-mile long construction will include asphalt resurfacing as well as landscape buffers, improved concrete sidewalks, and one-way separated bikeways along both sides of the roadway.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.  Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Bidding Documents also may be examined online at Construct Connect (Online Plan Room), online at Dodge Data & Analytics (Online Plan Room) www.; or at Doraville City Hall located at 3725 Park Avenue, Doraville, Georgia, 30340 on Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM by appointment only.
Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office indicated above. Bidding Documents are available on electronic media (as portable document format (PDF) files) for a non-refundable charge of $25.00.  The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at the Doraville City Hall, located at 3725 Park Avenue, Doraville, Georgia 30340. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid amount. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days after the opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds either a Georgia State Contractor's License or qualifications with the Georgia Department of Transportation for similar work, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43-14 and 43-41. Failure to provide the bidder’s license or qualification number on the outside of the sealed proposal will result in rejection of the bid.
If the Contract is to be awarded, the Owner will award the Contract on the basis of the sum of the base bid and any alternates selected by the Owner.
All required federal, state, and local permits, as well as required easements or rights of way for the project, have been obtained.
The successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time of 270 calendar days. The owner shall make progress payments on account of the Contract Price on the basis of Contractor’s Applications for Payment submitted once per month as provided in the General Conditions.
The DBE goal for this project is 15%.
Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4.
